The morning paper

Now that I commute from Croydon, I have to face the daily barrage of people thrusting a free newspaper into my hand. I normally take the City am business news from the man outside the station.

I have noticed a lack of customer care though. Although I am probably the only person who actually approaches him to collect a paper every day, he never recognises me or smiles.

Today for example, I took my copy as usual. Ten minutes later walked by him again. He tried to offer me a paper again.

Five minutes later, I passed him again. This time I waved my copy at him showing that I already had it, he still offered me a copy with no change of facial expression.
